Well, let’s pretend. Pretend you won a 3 minute “grab all you can and put in a shopping cart” spree at your local quilt shop!!
What would you grab?
I think I would grab fat quarters. That way I would have a little of everything! If I still had some time left, thread? Books? Not really sure….

I think I would grab fat quarters. That way I would have a little of everything! If I still had some time left, thread? Books? Not really sure….
But such fun to think about!
And yes,
I am still working on my nine patch!
Have a SAFE weekend!
What a fun "what if" game .... Lots and lots of fat quarter bundles :) Happy stitching, Jane!
ReplyDeleteFat Quarters would be high on my list. A girl can never have to many fat quarters. Love your nine patch.
ReplyDeleteI would be scooping up fat quarters, with a little GO and some notions..3 minutes can be a long time....
ReplyDeleteI would be scooping up FQs and charm packs. And then thread and pins, always needing more pins. Oo! Oo! Plus I would grab a pair of scissors. And some pinking shears. And... and... how many minutes did you say I had?
ReplyDeleteI'm actually getting ready to go to the frabric frency here in Paducah, so we'll see what I grab.
ReplyDeleteRuthie, have fun at the bargain bin at Hancocks...
ReplyDeleteOh my only 3 minutes? Hahahaha!
I'd hit the notions, thread and books. Then some solids and batiks.
What in the world would I do? Bolts for me - background fabrics I think. Lots of cream on cream and white on white but also all kinds of polka dots. :) blessings, marlene
ReplyDeleteThree minutes doesn't sound very long but I bet it is really long when running through a fabric store tossing things in a cart. I think fat quarter packs would be a great way to grab a bunch of fabrics really fast.
ReplyDeleteI remember way back when Toys r Us held contests around Christmas. The winning kid would win 5 minutes in their store to fill as many carts as they could. My kids used to dream of all the toys they would pick.
Like winning the lottery, it's fun to dream.
Gosh you would see one crazy cart driving lady in that store!! HAAA the videos that would result.. Hilarious!!! Yes I think I would go for mostly fat quarters.. but one large bolt of white on white... for backing.. okay maybe two LOL.. and then some thread for sure.. lots.. and if I had time.. I would stuff in some quilt batting.
ReplyDeleteYour nine patch quilt is so bright and cheery!
ReplyDeleteAnd as far as dreaming I think I would do like you and grab fat quarters. Can you imagine the assortment you could collect in those three minutes? Fun!!
Probably FQ and threads - amazing to think about - but I can do that in my stash already so better not dream too much... your nine patch looks lovely.
ReplyDeletewhat a fun fantasy. I remember the old shows on TV where a woman would fill a grocery cart in a set amount of time.
ReplyDeleteYour 9 patch is looking great!!
ReplyDeleteAhhh terrific question..wish I had thought of it lol....Ok, here is the scoop...I would probably grab, no gently cradle into my arms....white on whites, beige on beige bolts of fabric...dots oh yes, cannot forget anything dots...
ReplyDeleteAnd your 9 patch...I am sew impressed...YOU my smiles x
Love your 9-patch quilt. No matter what anyone says, it's my favourite block and your colours are so cheery. I think, like you, I would grab a lot of fat-quarter bundles and maybe a few jelly rolls. Perhaps some thread if time allowed and some new rulers. Books, no. I've got all I need.
ReplyDeleteOh, yes, that would be fun to win such a contest. Lovely 9 patches.
ReplyDeleteYou have a great weekend too.
Yes, grabbing bundles in the baskets would be the way to do it, lol.
ReplyDeleteIn 3 minutes, I sure could get a lot of stuff in our shop, it is smaller, but packed full of goodies.
Debbie
What a fun pretend to think about. Yes, grabbing up fat quarter bundles, jelly rolls, charm packs.....lots of 'em. Then some batting, threads, needles...lots of pins...basting spray.
ReplyDeleteI remember the grocery cart contests on tv..contestants running down the meat aisles, and their spouses having the next basket ready for them when they returned to the front of the store.
Fun!
I'm with you...fat quarters, rotary blades, templates, and thread. :)
ReplyDeleteWish it were for real! Fat quarters and books will be on top of my list ;)
ReplyDeleteI adore your fruit quilt!
What a wonderfully...bright and cheery nine-patch!
ReplyDeleteI would probably grab bolts of something generic like a black on black or blender/small prints.
Thanks for the FUN game!

Your nine-patch is lovely!
ReplyDeleteI would grab all of the rotary cutter blades the store had, plus a couple of new pairs of scissors, then I would run for the "brights" fabric section and grab as much as possible! What a fun fantasy!
Wow! Imagine! Just 3 minutes? Ok. Jelly Rolls, charm packs, and fat quarters. Love the 9 patch!
ReplyDeleteScrappy set off in white always gets me. I love it.
