Starter Kit for Farmer's Wife Quilt

Karen from Laugh Yourself into Stitches, you know, the wonderful lady who is doing the Farmer's Wife Revival Classes I am participating in, asked if I would like to make up a Farmer's Wife Flower Sugar Fabric starter kit for quilters.

Many beautiful Farmer's Wife Quilts are made with period fabrics.  

I however march to my own drum.  

I decided to use Flower Sugar from Lecien.

I have posted my progress on this quilt before but here is a sampling of some of my blocks.

Here are my last three barns that I have made for Lori Holt's Quilty Barn Along.

They are yet to be trimmed!

I decided to stop at nine as this is going to be a wall-hanging. 

Here is my layout.

I realized as I was working that I have hand pieced all of these blocks! So, I decided to continue and hand piece the sashing with some of my 

Flower Sugar Fabrics.

I love these fabrics, so bright, fun and happy. I hope to show you the flimsy in the beginning of the new year. Note, I said hope!!

I Just Took a Little!

I could not help it! I just took a little piece of each fabric from the Flower Sugar Line. It is so pretty, I could not help myself! But no worries I ordered more so there would be plenty for all!

I saw this on Pinterest and just fell in love with this pillow.  

I thought it would look beautiful in Flower Sugar, so I got busy.

I worked on them while I sat by the lake last week.

This is all I allowed myself to make, otherwise I would have used more of the fabrics I am saving for you!

I decided on scattered but in rows!

Even scraps for a string block!

I hope to show you my pillow if the next few weeks.
