Trojan.....

Trojan, I do not mean the Trojan Horse from Virgil's Latin epic poem The Aeneid.

I mean the Trojan Virus, the kind that seeps into your computer and starts to eat and worm its way to destruction.

This is just a little story or better yet a warning.
Picture, Jane, me, normal day, nothing special, checking blogs,

when BAM!!!!

(((((((Danger your computer is under attack!!
Your computer is being hijacked!!
All your personal information is at risk!! )))))))
UNLESS
You download this virus protection.
Now these messages “look” real. They are from Microsoft, from Vista, from people and places you trust. So you try to close the windows but no matter what they keep popping up!! Hmmm, you think!!
THEN
You remember about a year ago when something similar happened and you listened to those warnings and you clicked the name you came to trust and you saw your whole hard drive melt right in front of your eyes!!

So, #1, I knew it was not true, I have great virus protection, and I did not need more.

#2 How dumb do they think I am, give them my name, address, and credit card number, really!!

#3 My warring to you, if this happens go to another computer and Google the Trojan. I Googled “Remove Trojan (whatever they say the virus is)".

The first thing that came up said,
FAKE!! Aha, I knew it!!
I was able to remove it, because I do have some computer knowledge.
What I do not have is the time to waste on something so silly.

Please be careful and when in doubt, Google, ask questions, but just do not blindly believe.

A small post note, as I was doing this all day, I did not get a chance to read any blogs, sorry about that! I will catch up with you later!

No Crafter Here!!!

We had a very busy weekend, filled with fun, girls and food!!
Every year my husband has his softball team over to our home for an Easter Egg Hunt. A dozen high school girls running around outside our home finding eggs, going on a scavenger hunt and coming in for food. I always make mostaccioli, fruit salad, garden salad and warm garlic bread. For some reason unknown to me, they love the bread. I need to make a least ten 3 foot loafs of bread. Cut butter, garlic, pop in the over and eat!! This is great bonding experience for the girls and I believe it is our 15 year of having them over. Maggie will start High School next year so I will only have four more of these fun days left.

I did manage to fit in a small amount of sewing, nothing I can show you just yet.

That was our Saturday!!!

Sunday was filled with laundry and

Crafting….

Really I am not a crafter, not at all…
BUT,
With all the wonderful tips I received for gifts for Mrs. G., nuts, I just had to try!!!
SO…..
I started with a grocery, tote, whatever bag.
I have no idea what I am doing, so please this is NOT a tutorial, just what I am doing!!
I started with the Kyle’s Marketplace fabrics and cut them into 3 inch strips, then cur them in half so each strip was 22 inches long by 3 inches wide. I pieced them into one large piece of fabric.

Ironed all the seams to one side...

and trimmed it.....

Now here is where I had no idea what to do. I knew I wanted the bag to have a liner so this is what I did……
Right sides together…

I then sewed around all sides; but I left a little opening so I could turn my fabric inside out.

Presto!
Fabric!! I did this twice so now I have a front and a back.

All that is left…
The bottom, sides, and handles.

YIKES…

This will take some research!!

But not now, right now Maggie has eight 14 year old girls here for pizza and to watch “New Moon”.

I love having the kids here!! They are darling!!

26 years ago your big sister and I were watching the St. Patrick's Day Parade on TV, when I felt "funny". We went on with our day, drove to Grammy and Grampy's, dropped off Becky and went to a movie. Still, feeling "funny", your dad and I went to see Splash, but by the middle of the movie, I was having contractions. Your Dad being who he is said “Can’t we just see the end and then leave"? "Are you kidding"? Actually we did stay!! By the time we got back to

Grammy's the contractions were 45 minutes apart, we were an hour from home and a snowstorm was raging. We left you big sister at Grammy's and you were born at 4:18 AM.

Japanese fabrics...

I worked a little more on my Japanese quilt. I have Nanette to thank (hmmm) for first showing me these fabrics. She has the most wonderful taste in fabrics and I soon as I saw them on her blog, I was hooked. Table-Topper

Emily’s future MIL is having a Bridal shower for her in her son’s hometown, just outside of Philadelphia. Emily, myself and her two sisters (fiancée of course) are all flying in for the shower. I want to bring a little hostess gift for Mrs. G!

So….
Kyle’s Marketplace was a line of fabric I carried when I first opened my store. This fabric sold like crazy!! I was smart (greedy) enough to save some for myself. This is what I am using for the topper.

Simple squares… Some of the prints look like you could eat them!!
