Emily’s future MIL is having a Bridal shower for her in her son’s hometown, just outside of Philadelphia. Emily, myself and her two sisters (fiancée of course) are all flying in for the shower. I want to bring a little hostess gift for Mrs. G!
Simple squares… Some of the prints look like you could eat them!!
Topper…..
Backing…… Rise and Shine by Glenna Hailey. I love her fabric!!
I am then going to hand quilt in a grid with green thread.
Now can you help, I would like to make her some more things, any ideas?
So….
Kyle’s Marketplace was a line of fabric I carried when I first opened my store. This fabric sold like crazy!! I was smart (greedy) enough to save some for myself. This is what I am using for the topper.

Matching pot holders! They're quick and useful. Matching market bag?
ReplyDeleteI like Jeanie's idea! Plus you can make an apron and then maybe stuff the market bag full of the goodies, plus some market related items like Chocolate!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful gift. How about some cloth napkins. I like Jeanie's ideas of pot holders and market bag too.
ReplyDeleteI was going to say cloth napkins. That with the table topper and a market bag would be a divine hostess gift! I envy your pears...I have just used the last of them, and the RJR Farmers Market ones are just not the same.
ReplyDeleteHi - How about some of those coasters? Maggie could even make them! OR wait until you see what her kitchen colors are - and make something when you get home and send as a thank you! Chocolates are always good!@ lol
ReplyDeleteI love your table topper! Some simple placemats made out of the backing material would be awesome!
ReplyDeleteHow about adding a strip of fabric to a tea towel? Love the topper~ have fun! :-)
ReplyDeleteHow about a cute apron? Love the little table topper.
ReplyDeletelove this fabric and the pattern you haven chosen. i would definitely make cloth napkins. 1 or 2 from each print.
ReplyDeleteYou already have sone great ideas already but I also thought of one of those fabrice bowls made out of the white material with some cool yarn added like the yellow green poss orange could look cool on the top and pop out seeing it made of white.
ReplyDeleteLove your top.
What everybody else said!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful topper.
How very nice of you. It is going to be great. The first thing I thought of was what Jeanie thought of, matching pot holders. Looks like you got some great ideas from the other bloggers. Have fun.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure I have some of that, too. I was going to make Mason jars with food in them. Still may someday! Yours is just cute.
ReplyDeleteVery cute table topper, Jane!
ReplyDeleteI like everyone's ideas about the presents :)
The first thing that came to mind was pot holders, Jane and then oven mitts. Easy peasy and quick too.
ReplyDeleteYour table topper looks wonderful.
Oh wow....yes, matching pot holders....it is going to be simply wonderful, fun...
ReplyDeleteThe topper looks great! Love that fabric. I agree with the pot holders, coasters, aprons, etc.
