Back at the Machine!

Summer has begun!

Yippee!!
I love summer! The hotter then better.
But I also love summer because we have no schedule.
And because of that, I tend to get a lot of sewing done.

 This week...

from these...

to these...

to the first section...

I like to put my quilts together in sections and not rows.   I will have four of these sections. Then I will only have two long seams to sew.  This "seams" to work for me!

Back to the machine!

Happy sewing!

  4. I love those fabrics/colors, too. And if working in quarters is comfortable for you - go for it.

  5. And I know someone who doesn't sew that long seam until they are ready to baste the quilt too! Love the blues and greens!

  6. Your sewing approach does seam like a perfect plan. The blues and greens shout summer. Were they all from the same line?

  10. Jane, I really like your color choices, as well as the pattern. It looks like my kind of sewing, not too much thinking going on, and if I remember correctly, the one you requested help in locating recently. I enjoy making something that doesn't require me to be using all my remaining brain cells to accomplish, so that I can listen to my audio books while I'm working on it. Guess that's what happens when one gets on in years. Can't wait to see it finished. I will be working outside trying to get my flower and veggies planted, so that I can get back to sewing next week.

  12. The colors looks wonderful. The blocks don't need to bee that complicated all the time...
    Looking forward to the finish.
