I am hoping someone out in blog-land may know what I am looking for...
I have made many Red White and Blue Hexies. Now it is time to make them into .....something.
I saw on a blog a quilt with red white and blue hexies. She took a square of white fabric and put a hexie flower on the square. She then joined the squares into a quilt. I loved this affect and thought I had saved the picture/pattern. I have looked through all my folders, my favorites, google images, pinterest, flickr, My Feedly, My Bloglovin, My reader list. I have searched individual blogs.
But to no avail.
If anyone has an idea of the quilt/pattern would you please help me?
Thank you so much.
Have a wonderful weekend and do something you love.
Little T is turning 5 on Sunday! So party time.
I did a google search for Patriotic Hexie Quilts and found one on pinterest called Japanese Flower Garden that looks like what you are describing.

ReplyDeleteawww...doesn't that drive you mad! Hope you find it!
ReplyDeleteLove the hexies! Hope you find what you are looking for.
ReplyDeleteDid you try the Hexie Blog Hop with Sew We Quilt?
ReplyDeleteNo clue....sorry....
ReplyDeleteI think you can just "applique" them to the white square! Then cut away the extra fabric in the back if you think it's too heavy! If you starch or size the hexie "flower" you can actually take out the papers before you attach them to the square - or you MUST cut out the back to get the paper out! Love the "flower" for your "example"! Two more months - just two more months!!
ReplyDeleteNice patriotic hexagons. I like to make them into a circle and then just applique them onto a background fabric. If it's a white fabric I don't bother making the center hexie.
ReplyDeletehere is a link that might help

ReplyDeleteI think your colors are more vibrant. And even though her quilt is pretty and patriotic, I think the colors you are showing will shout out "Patriotic" a lot more than hers.
Sorry that I can't help you with finding the quilt you're thinking about. I love your stack of patriotic hexies! Please do share a link if you do find the one you're thinking of.
