I hope everyone had a nice weekend. Despite all our rain which we needed, it was very nice
Thank you to everyone who gave me suggestions for a new photo host program. I have been experimenting, your eyes will tell me!
So, what have I been up to?
Of course
The Wizard of Oz Quilt. Here is a sneak peek.
I am also working on a super fun Halloween Project. Now this is not for the
WICKED BLOG HOP starting soon. This is for ,well, when I get it done!!
This is an Amy Bradley Design.
How cute is this?!
She has so many darling patterns, which can be found
This is such a fun pattern and much easier than it looks!
I do not applique and I am able to make this beauty.
NOW, I am not found of purple nor batiks, but look what I picked for the background squares! Amy picked just the right color. I could not change her choice. It was perfect!
I fused, traced and cut the pieces for each character. I started with Frankie!
Here He is on an Applique Pressing Sheet. If you do not have one, this is an item you need!
The next step was to fuse him to the background and add the embellishments.
Hmm, I thought that it would be hard to hand quilt around all the pieces so I devised a plan of my own.
I decided, (with help from a friend, thanks Elaine), to make and quilt the top first. Then I would add my characters and embellish.
Here is where I am now...
Of course any free time is giving to my
Katie Quilt!
I think this will keep me busy for a while.
WHEW!!
Now I want all of you to have a fun and creative week!
Happy Sewing!
