Oh My Goodness…….

Yep, Today August 13th, yes August 13th, my daughter starts school!! Can you believe how early she starts? And I do not mean kindergarten, my baby is starting High School!! Where did the time go? Where did my summer go?
I really dislike this time of year. I like having my children home with me….
I am a blue as blue can be………..
I am now going to make her favorite cookies and count the minutes until I can pick her up.

  3. Cookies sounds good! :-)) Schools seem to be starting earlier everywhere. I will have DD for a few more weeks, but DS heads out next week. Sneak in a little sewing time while you wait. ;-)

  5. My youngest is starting high school too. I'm actually thrilled, anything to be finished with 12 years of middle school (between all 3, he didn't spend 12 years in middle school).

  6. I am with you I don't like school to start in August. I remember when it didn't start until after labor day. I miss my kids and my baby is a senior this year.

  9. School here used to start around August 8th but with all the hurricanes that like to blow through they are starting on the 23rd. It's strange that school starts on a Friday. Don't know why they do weird things like that.

  10. I tell you that this time of year is very nostolgic for lots of us. My granddaughter is off to university, hours away from her mother and grandmother! We are both starting to stress over it!
Thankfully we do have others around us, but still...it's a time telling us that we are aging...slowly.

  12. Why does school start so early? Our school year has 196 teaching days... how many does yours have? We don't start until after labour day!!!!
