Valentine Wall-Hanging

Hi everyone, Friday!
 Yippy Skippy!
Hope you had a nice week. Hard to believe February is on the horizon.  Wow, time flies!

While on Instagram I met a lovely lady, Sharon.
She has a great on-line fabric store

Daisy Cottage Quilting

and an etsy shope

One day she was selling the most adorable Valwntine Kit, with Pam Kitty Fabrics. I was lucky and was able to snach one of the kits!

Took three days to make!

Day one cut fabrics.
Day two sew and piece top.

Day three, spay baste and hand quilt in the ditch.

OK,  so one more day!

Day four bind and hang!

This was so much fun!
Hmm, sewing for the weekend, you bet!

How about You?

Have a wonderful weekend and I hope you do something you love.

In Love!

Have you ever made a quilt that you love so much that every time you see it you just have to smile and giggle because you made that quilt?
This is mine!

The Farmer's Wife Quilt

First allow me to say I never would have been able to accomplish this quilt without the wonderful

Her classes were essential to my success. It is not too late for you to make a Farmer's Wife Quilt. You can find all the information you need on Karen's Blog

OK, Picture heavy, sorry, no actually I am not sorry!

Had to get outside as we are expecting snow tonight or tomorrow!

This is how I quilted the border. I am not sure it is sowing in the picture.

I am going to use this girl all the time!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and I hope you do something you love.

What does the Alphabet and Red and White have in common?

Nothing but the two projects I have been working on this week.

I am still plugging away on my ABC Quilts!

I have always wanted to make a red and white quilt.  No other colors just red and white so I have been saving fabrics for this quilt.

I cut 200 5 X 5 squares. Does not look like much does it?

This is the top getting basted.  I have tried so many ways of basting but for me the floor still works the best. I use the grand-children's puzzles as weights and roll the quilt as I pin.

There is a lovely lady on Instagram that does beautiful big stitch quilting. I asked her what needles she used and she uses

I also highly recommend them, they can glide through the top, batting and backing and do not bend.
It has been hard for me to get use to big stitching because I try to take such tiny stitches when I quilt.
I will say that I am enjoying the process.

Thank you for your visit.
Have a wonderful weekend and I hope you get to do something you love.
See you next week.
