Lissa is getting better!!!!

I will be accepting blocks until this Saturday, September 4th. On Monday, I will be sending Mel your wonderful blocks and kind donations.

3 X 6 Bee

I had so much fun making Little Miss Shabby~~ The Scrapbuster Block that I decided to make one for myself. It will go with my 3 X 6 quilt bee. I asked for pink, orange and a touch of green for my blocks. I will show you my blocks when I receive them all but for now here is the block I made for myself!!

Oh look at the wonderful fabrics my daughter and SIL brought me from their honeymoon in Spain. I see a summer table-runner with these cute fruit prints!! Thank you guys!!! I love them!!

Maggie only had a half day of school today. So, look what we did this afternoon….

And no matter what the extra cost for the sea salt rub, it is worth every penny!!!!!!!!

Oh My Goodness…….

Yep, Today August 13th, yes August 13th, my daughter starts school!! Can you believe how early she starts? And I do not mean kindergarten, my baby is starting High School!! Where did the time go? Where did my summer go?
I really dislike this time of year. I like having my children home with me….
I am a blue as blue can be………..

I am now going to make her favorite cookies and count the minutes until I can pick her up.

I joined a bee that is all about squares! How fun is that!! This was the first month and we were asked to make this block. Now I will be honest here…
I was a nervous wreck!!
I have NEVER worked with so many pieces.
BUT...
That is what being in a bee is all about, challenging yourself.
Gosh, if I just did blocks I wanted to do what would be the point of the bee! Right?

So the August block was from
Little Miss Shabby~~ called The Scrapbuster Block.
This is one talented lady and if you have not been to her blog, run right over!

I have to admit, I am pretty happy with my block! I would even make it again sometime.
I love bees!!! (quilting bees that is)!

YES!!
I finished little T’s vehicle wall-hanging. I hung it very low so he could go up and touch, point and feel each vehicle.
I love how it turned out and he loves it to!!
Again, I would love to thank Michele from calicodaisy for her wonderful embroidery work!
This will last a lifetime!!

Hi Everyone!!

I know it has been awhile and I am so sorry.

I wanted to post pictures of the blocks that are arriving for Lissa.

BUT...

my computer is down. No pictures.

She is at the "hospital".

Please know that both Mel and I are so truly grateful for the kindness you have shown for Lissa. The blocks are starting to arrive and they are wonderful. The fabrics, and colors and workmanship is perfection. Thank you also to those who sent fabrics, monetary donations and to Millie who offered to quilt the quilt for us.
