I love the way it turned out! I would say instead of a border, make your binding multi colored. Like sewing blocks together from the different solid colored material and then binding it with them. Could be interesting! Kind of like this: http://www.ohfransson.com/oh_fransson/2009/04/quilt-along-15-making-and-sewing-binding.html scroll down to 5th picture.
I sent you an e-mail last night, did you get it? The e-mail I got from you yesterday was the first of it's kind and it sounded like you had sent several. I never received those if you did! My blocks were mailed yesterday morning, if you want to use them fine if not please send them back so I can put them into another quilt of my own. I had the blocks done, I was just to organized and put them in a great place and could not find them for the life of me. Sorry, I'm not going to get so organized again. Why try! I do better when I'm not. I love chois. Thanks for understanding.
I gotta say...it looks grand. Adding a border will bring most people's eye away from the center. I like the dark frame ...it is fabbie by the way
ReplyDeleteIt has turned out so fabulous! I would say no border as well.
ReplyDeleteno border...the black is border enuf...wonderful! ☺
ReplyDeleteI think it looks really good the way it is. Turned out really nice!
ReplyDeleteI agree with the others. The dark frames it nicely. Looks great!
ReplyDeleteI am going to be the odd man out...I think it should have a border...the quilt is wonderful either way.
ReplyDeleteJane, my fat qtrs came yesterday...I LOVE them! Thank you so very much for the give away. I check your blog everyday.
ReplyDeletehugs,

Either way will be lovely, but I would add the border. TTFN ~ Marydon

ReplyDeleteOnly if you want it to be bigger!
ReplyDeleteWith or without, I think it would look great.

If the size is alright - no border. Btw - how is your binding? I think a slightly lighter shade in solid would look just right.
ReplyDeleteSo cute but I say it needs a border. The darker fabric on the edge is pretty narrow for a border.
ReplyDeleteI think it looks great, but with this pattern I would lean towards adding a border. Just my lonely old opinion.

ReplyDeleteAs a child's cuddle quilt? 3 x 4 setting... with that fabulous sashing I would have to vote no border... looks fabulous...
ReplyDeleteHello Jane!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely blog you have - definite eye candy! Your little baby is very cute, too. And I like your music!
I shall be coming back to see again.

I LOVE it with no border
ReplyDeleteBut if you need it bigger, a cute piano key border with all the colors would be cute.
Very cute, Jane - and I think no border - the black print is enought to set it off - what will you use for binding?
ReplyDeleteCheers!
Hi Jane~ Looks great to me too! :-)
ReplyDeleteVery lovely! A border is up to you. It looks good either way.
ReplyDeleteWow, the quilt is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteLove the block pattern.
Border!
