I Rarely Do This, Really!

UFO's!  I just usually do not finish them!  This weekend I was getting out the Halloween Decorations when I came across some orphan Halloween Blocks.

Hmm...

I could do something with these, or I could put them back.

Nope, use them Jane!

So I put them together added a border, binding and I was done!

Here it is...
Do you like my makeshift clothesline?
An orange extensions cord attached to two trees!

I found these too!

And this I received from a friend!

Some UFO's just might now be moved to the finished pile!

I hope you had a nice weekend.

Bringing Out The Old

I have a different philosophy on UFO's. Most quilters want to finish them! I do not count my UFO's.  If I enjoy making blocks and do not finish, I figure that in that process I had fun, I learned, and yep, I did not finish!  I move on to a new project...
BUT
This one I do want to finish!  I started this last October.
It is the Amy Bradley Happy Halloween Quilt. Found HERE.
I was hoping to finish it for Halloween last year but alas no such luck.

It will happen for this year!

Amy's patterns are amazing! Her directions are crystal clear and so easy to follow.

Now because I do not machine quilt I decided to put the whole quilt together and quilt it BEFORE I added the applique pieces.
Here is the top.

I have all the pieces cut and ready to fuse to the quilt.  Here is a sample of one of the blocks.

Frankie!

He is on an Applique Sheet. If you do not have one of these I encourage you to purchase one. They are wonderful!

Next he will be fused to the top as will his friends.

I will show you my progress in a day or so. This is one UFO I intend on finishing.

Happy Sewing!
