Before I Begin a Project.....

I am not sure if this is just me or if there are others out there that are as OCD as I am!!
Before I start a new project I have a few steps I have to go through to get ready.

Empty the garbage from the last project.

Be sad that the garbage has the empty candy box. (mental note, get more)

Clean all the lint from the last project.

Fill all my bobbins.

Oil the machine, check the needle.

Check the water in the iron
Check rotary blade.

Vacuum.

Test machine.

NOW!!!
Start to sew!

This is what I got done today.

Now that is how I prepare for a new project.
How about you?

Next Project

This quilt has been a long time coming. It will be for my sister. She is a lover of the movie
"Wizard of Oz"
These have sat on my shelf for a very long time as I just did not know what I wanted to do with them. Well, I took all the fabrics to my friend Elaine and just said "help".  With her help I now have a plan. BUT..
Let me warn you.
You will not see this until Christmas 2012!
Here is a peek at some of the fabrics.

I was so scared of Elmira Gulch!!!

Some fabric choices.

A panel for a pillow.

I am going to make it a double sided quilt.
One side sepia.
The other color.

I may give sneak peaks in the future.
I could sure use some luck with this one!!
Now I just need to start!

Graduation Quilt

This last weekend my oldest niece graduated from High School. I told her I would like to make her a quilt. So, we went fabric shopping and she choose these fabrics. I believe I already posted this picture. But here they are again!

I gave it to her last Sunday at her party and I do believe she liked it!!
After all, she picked out the fabrics!!

I have also been working on some
red-white-blue blocks for our blog hop.
Just a little pile of, oh so yummy fabrics.

That's it all you get to see until
JULY 1ST

The Schedule is posted on my side-bar!
Be prepared to be inspired by all these amazing bloggers!

Happy Sewing!
