An Appropriate Finish

Thank you and bless all of you  that have helped keep our county safe and free, past and present.

I have been working on a few patriotic items.  I purchased a place-mat at good old Target!  Took one of my hexie flowers and added a firework embroidery design to the middle.  I attached it to the place-mat a voila a finish!  LOL!!

Next I wanted to make a hot pad using insul-bright.

More Farm Girl Friday Blocks

And what I am working on now.  This bright fun fat quarter bundle arrived and I could not wait to open it up!

Sanibel  by Gina Martin for Moda

My two favorite prints, the sunglasses and the pink chairs!

I have a leader ending project I want to work on but I am having trouble with the flying geese!  I will loose the points.

Now that my dear friend is back from Florida she offered to help my with the flying geese.  They are just getting the better of me! Errr!!

Enjoy the rest of the weekend and happy stitching!

My Winter Finish

AGAIN I apologize if I did not respond to your comment. Putting comment moderation on helped a little but I am not sure how well it worked.
Very frustration!

While I was waiting for my sewing mojo to return I picked up my knitting needles.
It did not start out very well!!

Things began to pick up....

I have made this afghan so many times I know it by heart. In a few winter months I ended up with two white baby afghans.

My mojo is back thanks to Lori Holt's Farm Girl Friday Sew Along.

Here are Friday's Blocks

Autumn Star
HST's are not my friend.
But I do like the block.

Next the Baby Chick.
I named her Susie!
She still needs her little legs embroidered.

I still have some sets of Jane Dixon's new fabric lines.

Just drop me an email if you would like a set.

Farm Girl Fridays

The first block for
Farm Girl Fridays was apron strings.
Super fun block with great instructions from Lori's book
Farm Girl Vintage.
I choose to make the 12 inch blocks. It seemed huge after making the littler blocks for my Farmer's Wife Quilt.

Well in my last post I showed you my background fabrics and fabrics I pulled from my stash.  I am still going to use the background fabrics but decided to open my Bonnie and Camille Daysail Fat Quarter Bundle. I was hoarding it, but why?!

So here is block #!
