THANK YOU EVERYONE
SWAP NOW CLOSED
Disappearing 9 Patch
And
Red & Aqua
THIS WILL BE OUR NEXT BLOCK SWAP!!!
(Please note, this will be my last swap until after the Holiday Season).
THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!
This swap is going to have a quick turnaround, DO NOT sign up if you cannot commit. This way, the finished blocks will have plenty of time to be turned into a wonderful Holiday gift!
Blocks will be due Monday November 2nd. Any later and I am sorry your blocks will be returned.
SO…….
Here is how this swap will work….
You will make 25, yes 25~~ 9 Patch Blocks in red and aqua (please not blue), when they are cut, you will end up with 100 to send to me. You will then receive 100 back.
Q & A SECTION……
How many in this swap?
I can handle 100 swappers. International swappers are always welcome!
How long is sign up?
One week or until we hit 100 swappers.
What is a disappearing 9 Patch?
There are many tutorials on this block on the web, I hesitate to post one do to copyright laws. Basically you make a 9 Patch Block ; cut it in the middle horizontal, and then in the middle vertical, thus making 4 squares out of one 9 patch.
What size 9 Patch?
9 Patch should be 121/2 inches square. Then when you cut them, you will have four 6 1/4-inch square blocks.
How to piece the 9 patch?
For a 12 1/2 inch unfinished size block you will need your squares to be 4 ½ inches.
Can I make the blocks all the same? All one color? Or mixed?
Try to make a mixture of the two colors. You could make a few all reds, a few all aqua and a few all mixed. But please DO NOT make all 25 one color. It would be fun to use a mixture of the prints too. Please make sure the print "reads" red or aqua
Will I receive all different blocks?
I will do my best to send you all different blocks, but it will depend on how many swappers we have.
In order to join YOU MUST EMAIL me (Pnkcndy@sbcglobal.net) do not comment on this post, you WILL NOT be entered.
