  3. Think of it this way, Jane - more time to quilt! And you get to greet them when they come home with cookies and milk and ask how their day was - what sweetness!
    Cheers!

  4. No tears here, at least from Sean! He could not wait to get to school yesterday and again today! I was a little sad to see him go yesterday, but after he got home and told me all about his wonderful day, I was happy again. Next year will be a different story though, when my little Gracie starts kindergarten. Waa waa waa, from me...not her! She wants to go in the worst way!

  8. School started here on the 24th. It used to be on August 8th but because of the hurricanes they start later.

Our two oldest are graduated but we still have little man (Robbie, 10) at home. He is homeschooled though. So, we start school whenever I decide to lol. I went out on Tuesday and bought all his books so we can start on Monday. He never would have made it to school this week anyways. He has battling a chest cold all week.

When the kids were all in public school I had a love/hate relationship with the first day of school. It's nice to have the house to myself but I did miss the impromptu hugs and games and adventures.

  9. I'm glad my oldest one has finished school and the younger one is in the 9th class, that saves me a little more time for quilting! But I sure know what you mean!!!
