Lissa's Quilt!!!!!

Thank you again to everyone who donated blocks, thread and monetary donations. Special thanks go to Millie for her extraordinary quilting of this oh so special quilt. And of course to Mel for making it all possible and her talents at piecing the quilt.
Mel went to see Lissa this weekend and presented her with the quilt. Not only is Lissa doing better but she was able to play cards with Mel, one of their favorite past times. Mel reports that Lissa is an amazing woman with strength, power and faith. She is always happy and looks at what she has and not what she could of lost. I would now like to show you some pictures of the quilt and of Lissa.

LOOK!!!!!

It turned out wonderful!! Can you see your blocks?

LOOK!!!

At the piecing by Mel and the quilting by Millie! It is so beautiful.

This is the back with all your well wishes.

I think these last two pictures tell it all.

God bless you all for everything you did to make this happen.

  3. Jane, thanks to you for getting us all together to make this quilt. I had so much fun making my blocks and enjoyed quilting Lissa's quilt. Mel is a perfect piecer and I like her striped binding. I am so glad Lissa is doing so well and is even playing cards.
    Smiles,
    Millie

  5. Wow - who would have thought that such simple blocks make such a stunning quilt! To think that we were concerned about which green and which purple! The best is Lissa's road to recovery!

  6. What a wonderful thing you did for a friend.
I have done quilts for friends and it is so nice to be able to make something to help them through the tough times. You both did a beautiful job on piecing and quilting.
