The Princess Bride (1987)
Staring;
Cary Elwes
Robin Wright
Director Rob Riener
True love, Buttercup and the farm-boy, Westley, fall in love. Buttercup thinks he is dead and vows never to love again. However, she somehow becomes betrothed to Prince Humperdinck. Can anyone stop this Wedding, even the Dread Pirate Roberts??
Best line of the movie….
"Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die."
Or
“As you wish”
Or
""Inconceivable!"
I am afraid our Bride-to-Be was and still is afraid of “The Rodents of Unusual Size”!!
Also, a great book!!

Princess Bride is one of our children's all time favorites. I can't even count how many times they have watched it, or quoted lines.
ReplyDeleteWhen my husband and I were getting married, I was saying my vows and accidentally said "twue love", there was a pause when I started laughing and my husband read my mind and suddenly said "mawwiage, sweet mawwiage.." Even though all our guests didn't really hear what happened, we up front all started giggling.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the greatest movies EVER!! We are constantly quoting lines from this movie!!
ReplyDeleteMy dad married my husband and I, and at the rehearsal (luckily not at the actual wedding!)he did the whole...Mawwaige is what bwings us together today...
I love Princess Bride but my favorite line is "anybody want a peanut?" (when they are rhyming in the boat.
ReplyDeleteMy husband's favorite line: "I'm not a witch, I'm your wife". Why does he find that so funny, hope it has nothing to do with me!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen this movie but it sure sounds like fun...will check it out..
