I had to get out of the house!!

Snow, snow, snow, single degree temperatures, wind chill below zero, and more snow on the way!
I was started to go stir crazy!  Is this what cabin fever was?
I think I had it. I did not even what to sew!!
 Perish the thought.
I needed air!!

So,  out I went and what a better place to get air than in a fabric store!!!
This is what I picked up...
One yard or ruler fabric ( flipped upside down, oops)
One yard of crayon fabric
One yard of interfacing
Three 7 inch zippers

Now I feel so much better.
Let the snow come I have plans for this weekend.
Hopefully!!
The last time I put in a zipper was 20-25 years ago!!

Hope to show you what I made in the beginning of next week.

Have a wonderful weekend and do something you love.

  1. Did you go to JoAnns? I did and grocery shopping. First time I've moved my car since Monday. Best of luck with your zippers.

  2. You went out to a fabric shop....isn't that kind of like walking into the other room in your house? bwahahaha Oops, just couldn't resist. I will be watching to see what fun you've been up to.

  3. I feel your pain! Between the flu and another 14" of snow this week, today was the first day that I've left the house in over 2 weeks. I didn't get to a fabric store, but I still enjoyed being anywhere but cooped up! Good luck with the zippers!

  5. Zips aren't that hard to do - love that crayon fabric. I got out before this big storm - got my hair cut and know just what you mean.

  6. Zippers in pouches are much easier than putting them in a dress or a skirt! There are plenty of tutorials so you'll have no worries! I'm not going out today because its going to be 40C! What a contrast!

  15. Ok, even though you have something to work on this weekend, no more snow! I'm getting claustrophobic from being surrounded by 5 foot deep snow piles and drifts. I'm curious about what you're making with zippers....
