Hi!!

I am down to blogging once a week until the Wedding quilt is done. I am making great progress. The only problem is my shoulder blade hurts like the dickens, if I hand quilt for more than two days in a row. Nuts, I want to finish this quilt. You know the old saying,” The mind is willing but the body is not”!! YIKES!!
So…I was able to get a few other things done.
I made a block for QATW Swap. I started with a four patch

and went wonky from there!

I hope she likes it!

I also have been working on 1930 scrap bags.

They are now listed in my eBay and etsy store. Take care and happy sewing!

  2. Ouch! I completely understand the pain of sewing. I get all carpel tunnelly on both wrists when I do a couple of days of hand stitching. Frustrating!

    Your wonky block is adorable!

  10. Just love that block! You have a great eye for colour! Of course she'll love it!

Now take care of yourself with your quilting! You have a lot of quilting years left in you! Make sure you stretch and take plenty of breaks... and maybe change position or add a cushion or something...

  13. I'm so busy this time of year, I don't know what it is about me. Maybe having the whole house painted has disrupted my schedule...you think?
I can't wait to see the finished quilt, so it's worth the wait for us all.
the kid is growing each day isn't he?

  14. I know exactly what you mean about your shoulder aching after too much quilting...I know this sound nuts but I've found that if I exercise with little 2 lb. weights I am ache free-if I slide and don't bother to exercise regularly-the aches come back.
