I am down to blogging once a week until the Wedding quilt is done. I am making great progress. The only problem is my shoulder blade hurts like the dickens, if I hand quilt for more than two days in a row. Nuts, I want to finish this quilt. You know the old saying,” The mind is willing but the body is not”!! YIKES!!
So…I was able to get a few other things done.
I made a block for QATW Swap. I started with a four patch

and went wonky from there!

I hope she likes it!

I also have been working on 1930 scrap bags.

They are now listed in my eBay and etsy store. Take care and happy sewing!

  1. are really busy....
Can't wait to see the wedding quilt.

  2. Ouch! I completely understand the pain of sewing. I get all carpel tunnelly on both wrists when I do a couple of days of hand stitching. Frustrating!

    Your wonky block is adorable!

  3. Jane, sorry to hear about the shoulder pain. Hope you take good breaks in between.
The wonky blocks are very cute :)

  4. Oh Jane, I totally can relate about the shoulder! I have been receiving care on mine and am going to a specialist coming up. I sure hop you feel better soon. Don't over do it!

  5. Ouch Jane, but it will be beautiful when finished..
    I do that, until I can't stitch anymore..Take care.
    Love the wonky blocks..
    Julia ♥

  6. Looking great - take it easy - please talk to us once a week at least!
    Hugs - Lurline♥

  7. Love the wonkey block. I hope your shoulder holds up and the quilt is finished soon.

  8. Love the wonkey block. I hope your shoulder holds up and the quilt is finished soon.

  9. Oh yes! I think we can all understand.

    Love the wonky block!

  10. Just love that block! You have a great eye for colour! Of course she'll love it!

Now take care of yourself with your quilting! You have a lot of quilting years left in you! Make sure you stretch and take plenty of breaks... and maybe change position or add a cushion or something...

  11. Take care of that shoulder. You sure don't want to have lots of problems later.
    Fun block.

  12. Your block looks great! Love how you started with a 4 patch.

  13. I'm so busy this time of year, I don't know what it is about me. Maybe having the whole house painted has disrupted my think?
I can't wait to see the finished quilt, so it's worth the wait for us all.
the kid is growing each day isn't he?

  14. I know exactly what you mean about your shoulder aching after too much quilting...I know this sound nuts but I've found that if I exercise with little 2 lb. weights I am ache free-if I slide and don't bother to exercise regularly-the aches come back.

  15. Really darling. I love this design. Not to mention the fabric.

I always love to hear your thoughts!
