Our youngest leaves for college this Thursday. So this is the last post I will post for a while. We will be taken her and getting her all settled. But before I take a break I would like to show you the quilt I made for her for college. I am sure many of you know that dorm beds are twin XL. I like to make dorm quilts a double so they can tuck them in on the side.
Maggie choose aqua and coral. I will admit I have never used coral so it was fun to find those fabrics.
The pattern we choose was

Patio
Pattern found
I just made it larger.
This was a fun, mordern pattern and had easy instructions to follow.
What was funny was that after we picked the fabric and the pattern, Maggie did not want to see the quit until it was finished.
It was hard to hand quilt because I could only work on it when she was out of the house. I quilted the quilt in a cross-hatch pattern.
So without further ado, I present
Patio in Aqua and Coral.
Have a wonderful week and I will "see" you soon.
Happy Sewing!
