I have two
projects I would like to share with you:
First,
these bright and fun placemats. I had this darling panel that I had been
wanting to use for quite some time. So I found a cute backing in my stash and
got to work. I was able to play with some free motion machine quilting
with these placemats. I will say, it was fun!!
I had some helpers!
Then I thought I would go in a whole new direction! I found a beautiful table runner pattern in this book.
Christmas Possibilities
by Linda Milligan and Nancy Smith.
Traced the patterns and cut out the templates.
I then used four colors of green fabric for the leaves and two colors of red fabric for the petals.
I fused them on to the background. Made some gold covered buttons for the middle of the poinsettia and red buttons for the holly berries.
Here it is!
What a great way to use that panel - how cute and festive - love the helpers. And such a pretty table runner, too.
