Super Zig Finished!

Done!! Finished!! Wash, dried, and on my daughter’s bed.
Not sure if your remember this quilt I was making…

It was from Happy Zombie. The pattern is called Sipper Zig and can be found here.

I have wanted to try my hand at big stitch quilting for some time now and this quilt was perfect to take for a test drive.

Here we go….

ZOOM…………………………………….

Why yes, I did use dot fabric from my store!

Oh, it would look wonderful in Kona Solids too!

Oh thank you for asking again, yes I did use
Presencia Threads~~Finca from my store!

I thought it would be fun to use a scrappy binding.

Maggie picked the back, as she claimed the quilt!!

Now on her bed being put to good use!

I HIGHLY recommend making this quilt!! It was fast, easy and sooo much fun!!~
It is going to be unbelievable hot this week, so be safe if you will also be in the heat.

  7. Beautiful! I love big stitch quilting. It's fun and if the stitches turn out uneven it doesn't matter because they nice either way.

  12. Jane what a wonderful quilt for your daughter...I love the dots, the bright colors, and the quilting! I don't think I would have thought of using different colors of threads to quilt it but that just really set it off. blessings, marlene

  22. I have always wanted to do this stitching in a quilt. I feel kind of stupid with a needle and floss though.

  25. Glad you revived this post. I absolutely love your quilt. Big stitches are perfect for it. Big quilting stitches seem to enhance the quilt and in your case--the color too. Great idea.
