I Spy...

This post is for me, I know selfish!! You can stop here if you would like, really no hard feelings at all!!
I first made an I Spy quilt for Maggie when she was little; being a girl of course it has a ton of girly prints. I did it all by hand;

Our first grandchild is a boy, so this will I Spy quilt will never do and really Maggie is 15 and there are so many new characters around, SpongeBob, Go Diego Go, Thomas the Tank, New Movies, such as Cars, Finding Nemo, Toy Story, also boy items such as Cars, Bulldozers, Dino’s, sports, animals and do not be too fooled, if we have a girl there is also princesses, paper dolls, Minnie Mouse and of course Snoopy and Charlie Brown for Grandma. Oh yes, plenty of candy!!

Now I was Smarter with this quilt. It is all done by machine. It was cut with my Accucut Studio. It was pieced by machine and then tied! You may not remember that I could not understand why it looked like this…

But to be honest if I tried to make it look like it does now, I would not have been able.

And I like it!!

Thanks to everyone who sent me novelty prints for this quilt

We love it!!!

  10. Small world! I saw the first quilt pattern that you used, years ago. Knew it was beyond me. I made each of my grandkids an "eye spy" quilt in squares instead. One with red borders and sashes, one with blue and the last with green ( colours to match their toothbrushes!). Nice to see someone else with the same idea. Great idea. LOL
