HOT HOT HOT…
Oh yes it is hot here. Some of the world is experiencing very hot, oppressive heat.

I am!! How about you?
It tends to make you feel a little sluggish and not like doing too much.
So…. I have been working on some embroidery projects. I finished the two Birdie Bee Blocks.

Then I decided to try my hand at a pillowcase. I have never made one but had just the right amount of the Hungry Hungry Caterpillar fabric. Little T loves this book and he is now in a “big boy” bed. I thought he would like this. So, I hopped over to the Sew We Quilt@ Stash Manicure Tutorial Page Why I’ll be dipped in chocolate, it worked!! I even made it a two sided pillowcase, with French seams! Never made a French seam in my life!! I am tickled pink with how it turned out. I am now off to thank the guest who posted this tutorial!

Love your post, Jane :) THank you so much for sharing ... I'd never thought of a reverse pillowcase ... genius :) Your stitching is superb and very fitting for this time of year. Luckily we haven't been blessed with your heat, so I'll stay on this side of the Rockies ;) Hugs to you dear!!
ReplyDeleteJane, your little embroideries are so bright and sweet. I did a pillowcase for my grandsons body pillow last week. Isn't that just the best pattern. Your Zig Zag quilt has got me inspired. I cut out all the coloured pieces yesterday, tomorrow the whites-thanks for showing such a great quilt.
ReplyDeleteI can see pillowcases in your future - they are very addictive - some days it is just nice to not have to think so hard and just make pillowcases. Love your Hungry Caterpillar and your stitcheries. Have a wonderful day. Judy C in NC
