Really it is like a bag of chips, once you start you cannot stop.
What you ask?
String blocks!
I sent a pile of 20 to our bee Mama and will receive 20 different ones in return.
BUT.......
That is not enough for a quilt…….
I know, I know I told you I was going to make blocks with my new dot fabrics; however, I had these piles of scraps calling for me to make more string blocks.
What’s a girl to do?
So, sorry that is what I am doing this weekend. And I better get to work!
Happy Sewing Everyone!

Look at your wonderful sewing space....this is going to be an adorable quilt and calorie free!
ReplyDeleteJane I'm like you - once I start on string blocks I get addicted. If I've got something else to do I have to do it first or it won't get done! blessings, marlene
ReplyDeleteVery cool!!! I love all the bright colors!
ReplyDeleteAren't they fun? I love 'stringin', a relaxing kind of sewing. You have some lovely strips.
ReplyDeleteHappy sewing too!!!! They look great.

Love string blocks. They're addictive, easy, fun, and fast to make. And they're terrific blocks for charity quilts too.
ReplyDeleteAren't these fun?? I absolutely love them...
ReplyDeleteYour blocks are looking great! I know the feeling of not being able to stop once you start stringing. I have a couple string quilts going right now. I keep adding to them when I feel like sewing but not really concentrating on anything difficult.
ReplyDeleteI've made one string block quilt, and I was like you: I couldn't stop until they were all done. Great way to use up scraps.
ReplyDeleteGood afternoon, Jane,
ReplyDeleteI've been corrected final projects all day, as our school term ended this week. I would so much rather be at my sewing machine!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend. ~Natalie
