What a great way to start the Holidays and a wonderful way to bring in 2011. Our rooms are done!! Well, minus the plantation shutters for the windows!! Well, minus any new furniture! YET, a queen size sofa couch is in the works. Oh and for my room, for now I am going to use old tables, shelves, desks, and my husband’s old dental cabinet. Anything I can get my hands on for my room!! And you know what? I am so happy because it is
Someday, slowly I will replace old with new but for now, I am on cloud nine.
A retrospect in pictures….
And I cannot forget all my new beautiful, wonderful light!!!!!
What a wonderful adventure thank you for joining me in the process!!
Here are the first new fun PINK items I bought for my new sewing room. I am sure many of you know Ayumi from the Pink Penguin. She is so adorable and makes the most wonderful things. Her work is amazing and her fabrics are so cute and whimsical. She is so kind, I just send an email and ask for what I would like and presto it is here.
I ordered a PINK fabric basket and a PINK pincushion. Look at how cute!!
Ayumi and sent me this darling pot holder which will never touch a pot!!
Take a look how cute she is… Even her card has penguins from a hole punch on it!!
Stop by and visit her blog. She is not only very talented but she is as cute as a button!! Thank you Ayumi, you know I love them!
Hmmm, I used cute and darling a lot in this post but she is both of those things!!!
Today is your golden birthday; 15 on the 15th. I will always call you my miracle baby, for after waiting eleven years for a baby God gave us a wonderful Christmas gift,
I will never forget that you were born during the TV show Family Matters, the episode when she was Cinderella and Stephon Erkel was going to ask her to get married. Some how I missed that part!!
Remember how we had to see Shrek 9 times in the theater. Once it was just you and me and they waited to start the movie until we got our snacks.
Favorite TV Shows…
Arthur, thank Heavens because I loved that show too!
Later Full House, if Joey did one more impersonation of Bullwinkle the moose…
And you can still catch us watching a good old rerun of Sabrina the Teenage Witch.
My Little Pony
and we would collect all the different McDonald Happy Meals toys that we could find. You would play with them when ever we were at your sister’s sports games. Which was often!!! Mulan was your favorite.
Now that I am watching you play sports, I get lost driving because you are not there to help me, I have to go get my own concession stand food, I never know the score and I just plain miss your company. But that is how life should be; you are growing up to be such a wonderful young lady who makes me so proud. I love you so much! Happy Birthday sweetie! xoxoxxo
PS Do not even talk about the driving thing with me!!!!!
I received the most darling gifts from Carrie the other day. Take a peek!! The work is amazing, but everything she touches turns to gold. The pink birdie smells of lavender and it is now in my PJ drawer. The darling reindeer is hanging on my sewing room tree. Thank you so much for such a thoughtful gifts and for thinking of me! I love them so!!
