Have you ever made a quilt that you love so much that every time you see it you just have to smile and giggle because you made that quilt?
This is mine!
The Farmer's Wife Quilt
First allow me to say I never would have been able to accomplish this quilt without the wonderful
Karen from Laugh Yourself into Stitches.
Her classes were essential to my success. It is not too late for you to make a Farmer's Wife Quilt. You can find all the information you need on Karen's Blog
OK, Picture heavy, sorry, no actually I am not sorry!
Had to get outside as we are expecting snow tonight or tomorrow!
This is how I quilted the border. I am not sure it is sowing in the picture.
I am going to use this girl all the time!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend and I hope you do something you love.
I've been waiting for this finish and just love it too!! May it bring you many, many quilty hugs! (Enjoy the snow!)
ReplyDeleteOh, it deserves to be in a picture heavy post! It turned out so beautifully. Giggle, and smile, and enjoy the many hugs this is going to give you.

ReplyDeleteI can safely say that I didn't get overloaded with pictures. It is truly a gorgeous quilt. Love your pink border, too. Do you hand-quilt all your quilts? Do you use a frame? I'm very close to beginning my Farmer's Wife - yep, I joined Karen's Facebook group - my first. Your quilt has really made me feel antsy about getting 'this show on the road'!!
ReplyDeleteOh that turned out really fabulous and seems just so "you". Congrats on a beautiful finish.
ReplyDeleteJane, your quilt is gorgeous. Love seeing all those pics...beautiful!
ReplyDeletesuch a gorgeous colourful quilt - I can see why you love it !
ReplyDeleteGood morning Jane....This is such a comfy, cozy and old fashioned pretty quilt, and I can understand your attachment to it. It just says "come crawl under me and I will keep you nice and toasty". It doesn't look as if we got any snow overnight, but is supposed to start around now and continue till around 3 this afternoon. I don't know where in IL you are, but we are in Yorkville and it hasn't begun yet. lv2bquilting2@comcast.net
ReplyDeleteRosemary B here
ReplyDeleteSo adorable. Did you hand quilt it?
It is big and cute. One day I wil finish a quilt for me.
I hope you are snuggling under your quilt right now looking at that snow.... are there teen agers roaming the neighborhood looking for driveways to shovel?
......Gosh that is a beautiful blankie
It's so pretty. It's great to read how much you love it, we're lucky to have a hobby that gives so much pleasure.
