Farmer's Wife Layout?

Ahh, Farming!  It has been so much fun.  I have reached the end of my farming and it is time to harvest.  I have 49 blocks so that will make a nice wall-handing or cozy lap quilt.  It was hard to take a picture of all the blocks together but I gave it the old college try!

I think this is the layout I am going to use. The more I change the blocks the more confused I get!  So please I need your eyes. Is there any block or blocks you would move?

Thanks for any advice.

If you like these fabrics I still have some sets in my stores.

Also please remember the

Going Out Of Business Sale

Have a wonderful weekend. I hope you do something you love.

  2. First off, oh my!...would you look at this awesome .....crop?!! Next, you should never give me free rein on what I'd change. I don't know specific of change, I just see lots of darkish pinks/reds top left and lots of teal bottom right. But then, what the heck do I know bout farming. LoL. I love this!

  4. I was going to say what Annie said- bottom right is quite blue, top left quite red. Even changing just one might make a big difference! Otherwise it looks great!

  5. I love it!!!!! You can change it around to find something else needs switching...and then another and another. It can cause one to drive their tractor into the pond. (my dad did that one day. lol) Looks so beautiful Jane. You must be so proud of your field. I'll be sharing this right now with my readers....sorry to see your shop is closing. xo

  13. Bottom row - block #3 could be exchanged with block #6, same row, in order to get the two greens separated. That is all that stood out for me and I must say that is a wonderful and colorful quilt. A really true treasure. Thanks for sharing. Judy C

  15. I think we quilters may obsess over block placement. We change one block and that necessitates moving another and then another. lol!! I wonder, should we put them in a basket and pull them out one by one and just sew them together? :) Yours looks great!

  16. I agree with the others about the blue corner trading for one red from the upper red corner...but I could stay in love with it the way it is too! Perfect colors/fabrics!! You are a good farmer ;-)

  17. I think they look great! I agree it is a hard one to lay out. I need to get back to mine but keep putting it off. Maybe once I see how you are setting this together I will get inspired? and how you quilt it.....
