My New Favorite Tool and Three More Nested Churn Dash Blocks

I hope you have had a chance to watch the bears in Alaska.  I am midly obsessed with them, what do you mean I have names for the bears!  If you have not taken a peek, do yourself a favor and watch for a little while.  The link can be found in my last post.

OK,  on to my new favorite tool.

BLOC LOC RULERS!

Where have these been?  They make trimming a half square triangle a dream.

I own the 3.5" and the 5.5".
I hope to own then all at some point.

Check out the video.

I made three more Nested Churn Dash Blocks, two more to go!

Happy Sewing!

  1. Your nested churn dashes are super cute! BTW, you need to rotate the upper left half square triangle on the first block.

  6. My favorite new tool will be the one that makes sure we sew the pieces together properly! When's that one gonna hit the market?! LoL Three great new blocks, Janie! I'm anxious now to see how your Churn Dash is gonna look with all the blocks together.

  9. Bloc Loc rulers are my favorite, too! That was the first thing I shared with my shop owners, so they ordered the 6.5" one to sell. =)

  12. Those rulers look so cool but they are way, way too expensive for me! Love your churn dash blocks. I've made one (that I don't like my fabric choices in) anyway....They are huge! Yours are adorable! XO
