I did it!!
I cut my Katie Jump Rope fabrics!!
To be honest it was not hard! I think the reason it was not too hard was because I only cut about 15-24 squares from each fabric!
I do not know about you but I tend to cut too much and then have left over squares,
I decided to be very careful with my Katie.
Here is the super fun part...
I am doing it all by hand!
The piecing
The quilting
well not the binding!
I have already started and it is such a joy to work with these fabrics.
This is my cut pile.
What I started with...
What I still have.....
Hope to show you some more progress soon.
Happy Quilting!
Hand piecing? Are you crazy? I have a hard enough time using my sewing machine to piece a quilt so I can't even begin to think of hand sewing all those pieces together--what a woman!. LOL!
ReplyDeleteIt's going to be beautiful, I'm sure. :O)
You did it! You cut them up. Gosh, that means you have to replace some of your stash. I just had a peak at Henry Glass' and there is a new line of Little Darlings 11 fabric. I swear I saw it in your future stash.
ReplyDeleteHandy piecing, with your feet up, is gonna be easier on your back I think. And you do lovely hand work. Happy stitching.
I wish I could join in on the hops, but I can't depend on myself, these days, lol. I am having fun seeing what others have made. Congratulations on your win, you deserve it for being so generous yourself.
