Now to answer a few questions from some of you. For my Zig Zag quilt I used Presencia Perle Finca (which I happen to sell)

My $5 Quilt LOL!!
I went to a quilt store that was closing and every time someone made a purchase they would let you pick a 5 inch square to take home.
So when it was mine turn to check out I asked if I could buy them all; the cost $5 for over 500 squares and the white tray!!!
Soooo hence my $5 quilt.
Which I plan on working on today.
Happy Sewing!!
So sad that a quilt store closed. $5 what a bargain. It must feel like Christmas unwrapping each of those little bundles. That would be the most exciting part for me. Can't wait to see how it looks. No swapping them out ;) Have fun and keep us posted.

Thanks for answering what the $5 quilt was. Turns out I was a no reply blogger but no longer.
ReplyDeleteHope it wasn't me! I was for a day, but now I'm not. You know me as Lois, but now I'm coming out in my real name Jean. I know -- confusing!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day! I can't wait to see how the $5 quilt comes out! That is a huge bargain!
Looks like you got quite the deal. Looking forward to seeing what you will make with all those little 5" squares.
ReplyDeleteHave fun working on your five dollar quilt!!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the $5 quilt. I love to get bargains like that....no matter what it is.
ReplyDeleteLove the concept - now I can't wait to see how it comes together. Kinda like making something from nothing - not a lot of fabric purchased, not a lot of pattern hunting, not a lot of stress to get it done - my kind of project. JC
ReplyDeleteThat will make a wonderful $5 quilt. Love the colors.
ReplyDeleteVery nice deal and wonderful for making a scrap quilt.
ReplyDeleteWe had a big store that closed and I really miss it, they had all types of quilt and textile fabrics. It is a shame that so many are closing.
