The Top is Finished!

I finished the top! It went together like a great puzzle. Thanks to Elaine all the pieces fit! I think one of the reasons I liked this pattern was the colors. I usually do not work in these tones, but something about it shouted “Try me, give me a chance”!
I am so glad I did. She is now marked for quilting and ready to be made into a quilt sandwich.




I was very happy to find out that Joann’s had their thread 50% off; so, nuts! I had to go shopping since some of theses colors I did not have in my stash.



The next step, the hand quilting. I hope to be able to show you the finished project in a few (many) months. Hopefully just in time for fall decorating!!

    Wow Jane... your quilt is stunnig and I love the colors! How cool is that... that you are going to hand quilt it. I adore the fact that you just had to run get all those pretty threads! =)

    Those aren't my normal colors either but I do like them. Your quilt turned out stunning.

    too funny about thread colors. i will drive to the store just to get the right color even if i have others that are close. can't wait to see it quilted.

    Your quilt is so cute! The colors are warm and rich and it would be perfect timing to finish it for fall. The hand quilting will only add to it's charm...
