Maroon…. My color for the Rainbow swap is Maroon, I had no idea it would be hard to find. To purple, to pink, to red, but after much searching, I think I came up with some fabric that will work. I like it and hope you will like it too!!
I have a friend who like maroon or burgundy colours. She can find them in a flash no matter where we go. Me? I'd never put it all together except for gold and a green, I think of these colours as sort of Christmasy. Can't wait to see what you do though!
I seem to have a bit of a problem commenting on your blog, Jane - we in Australia are Third World in technology, you know! Have received your fabrics,oh, how wonderful - will show everyone later this week! My block is Pinwheels! Hugs - Lurline♥
I'm so glad I found your blog - it's great! Congrats on Little T - he is adorable! I wish I had discovered you sooner so I could have played in the rainbow swap - maybe next time!
Good Morning Rainbow Swappers. I posted a photo of my purple and white for the swap...it is a yummy fabric. http://quiltedpomegranate.blogspot.com/2009/03/rainbow-swap.html
Funny thing. I just ordered rick rack and I thought it would be a pinky red. It came Maroon! And I have like 140 yards. haha Oh well. I'll use it somehow. Every time I look at it I like it a little more. This looks fun. I want to get going on mine.
I love the colors! Looks like an elegant Christmas.
ReplyDeletePretty. You wouldn't think it would be that hard to find.
ReplyDeleteLove your colors Jane. I have several deadlines, so couldn't take part in this colorful swap. But I'm having so much fun from the sidelines :)
ReplyDeleteHappy stitching!
Gorgeous color! Gorgeous material! I can't wait to see all the beautiful blocks everyone comes up with!
