Farm Girl Fridays

The first block for
Farm Girl Fridays was apron strings.
Super fun block with great instructions from Lori's book 
Farm Girl Vintage.
I choose to make the 12 inch blocks. It seemed huge after making the littler blocks for my Farmer's Wife Quilt.

Well in my last post I showed you my background fabrics and fabrics I pulled from my stash.  I am still going to use the background fabrics but decided to open my Bonnie and Camille Daysail Fat Quarter Bundle. I was hoarding it, but why?!

So here is block #!

    I love your version of Apron Strings. I made mine 6". Two challenges: small and scrappy...but I'm learning.

    Love the colors and fabrics you are using! I can't figure out what we are supposed to be doing. People have been writing to me and asking and I said, "don't ask me...I have no idea". I think we are doing a 12" and a 6" block each week in the same order they appear in the book. Oh well, I made a 6" yesterday and it seemed so tiny after all the 12" blocks I've been making. Again, love your block! Beautiful, as usual.

    I just ordered the book yesterday for my Mother's Day gift from ME to ME. So, I guess I better start thinking about a pile of fabric. I like 12 inch too. The little blocks are cute but sometimes a bit intense. I am making 12 inch for my local quilt club too
