I am cutting!

That's right!
My new outlook!
Love it, buy it,
CUT IT!!
I bought this in September but no more looking and petting!
I am doing another hand pieced quilt.
Sooo, Here I go!

Purchased from

This is what I have done up to this point.

Squares cut at 5 inches.
I did add two fabrics from my stash to make an even 12 fabrics.
Thus a total of 6 yards.

Next step sew them into groups of two, so I can them make a 4 patch.

This is the kind of quilting I just love!
Slow and steady wins the race.
I find if I hand piece the seams match up much better than if by machine.

NOW....

I know you are aware of all the fun Blog Hops that have been going on, well, what a treat when I went to get out my Christmas Decorations and saw this...

I had totally forgotten that I had made this for
The Christmas Blog Hop!
Now proudly displayed on my kitchen island.

Day 3 ~~~ Take Two

Today is day 3 of the coin purse hop.
This is so much fun!
Well, I know it is not my day
BUT
I had one handle left and thought let's try it again!

I now have a new tip for you, LOL!!
When you get your purse shell done, DO NOT do what I did:  I stitched a very small stitch all around the upper edge thinking it would be easier to slip into the handle.
NOPE!
But I am going to show you anyway.  This is for my sister and I know she will love it regardless of the showing stitching.

Now, why not visit these blogs and see what they have created.

My Day for the Coin Purse Hop!

Welcome!

Today is my day to participate in the
Coin Purse Hop.
A special thank you to
Madame Samm from Sew We Quilt
and
to our cheerleader
Katherine form Sew Me Something Good.

I signed up for this hop because I wanted to challenge myself. I have never made a coin purse, or any purse for the matter!
I learned a few things on the way.
READ all the directions first!
FOLLOW the directions!
USE the supplies suggested!
Remember PATIENCE is a virtue.

If you do all these things you too will have success.

So, her is my coin purse.

"Lady Rose"

My Mom's Middle name was Rose and pink roses are by far my favorite flower.

I also have a little tip. When you are attaching the handle, use a color thread that will blend so your stitches will not show.  I love pink so I choose pink, and yes, you can see the stitches. Next time I will use white thread.

Now, just a reminder,
the master schedule is on my side bar
the pattern can be found HERE
and the Supplies can be found HERE.

Have a wonderful time hopping!
