Progress!

I have been working on my niece's quilt.

This is the fabric she choose.

And this is what I have finished to date.

The blocks are just pinned on the design wall.

Next step, a quilt top!!

Modern Mini Mystery Round Robin

I have joined a fun round robin.

It is the

Modern Mini Mystery Round Robin.

We were to design a 6 1/2 inch block. Any technique.

We are divided into groups. We sent our starter block to the first person in our group. They added a border and sent it on to the next member.  My little baby will travel the world and come back to me in October.

The mystery part...

We do not know who has our block and we do not get to see it until the end. This was such a fun idea of Michele's from Quilts from my Crayon Box that I just had to join.

This was my starter block. I have no idea where she is, but I know she is having fun!

Table Topper Blog Hop---~ My Turn!

Table Topper Blog Hop

I am so excited to be part of Madame Samm's Blog Hop

They have so many wonderful products. This table topper is just one of many for you to enjoy.

Here we go!

I do not know about you but I have a ton of orphan blocks. Some I have made for tutorials. Some for swaps that I decided did not fit the plan. Some to practice a technique and some for quilts I started and never finished.

I decided to take one of my favorites and turn it into a table topper mini quilt.

This is one of my favorite paper piecing blocks from

Quilters Cache

Called

Wheel Of Fortune.

I have made this block several times and is still my go to block.
Here it is in 1930's prints.

I also have orphan squares. So I put these together to remind me of my quilters palette quilt.
 I love to look at this for color and fabric inspiration.

Lastly...

A little bit of whimsy.

Using a Japanese Print, I have been hoarding saving for a long time.
Who does not like to play "Peek a Boo"?

My Next Project..

My oldest niece will be going away to college in the fall

soooo.....

it was time to pick fabric for her quilt!

She had a vision in her mind and stuck to the plan!

Here are the fabrics she choose.

It is going to be a simple but striking quilt.

All I can say is stay tuned for the reveal this summer!!
