What I am working on.....

I am really not sure how much of this quilt I have shown you but it is the 9 Patch, Make one a day Quilt by Crazy Mom Quilts . Yes I am late but I still kept going and this is now where I am…..

I had the top done and now it was time to add the little 2 1/2 inch squares to make the border.

I had an extra jelly roll of the fabric I used; Berry Delicious by Moda.

I decided to make strip sets from the fabric.

I came up with quite a few sets.

It was time to cut them into 2 1/2 inch squares, so I pulled out my Accucut studio 2 1/2 inch strip die and got to work!

I layered the strip sets horizontally on the die and cranked.

This is what I made!

Now I can sew them end to end to make the border.

Super fast and an easy way to add a lot of squares together!

Border on!!
Off to layer and pin!

  9. Better late than never :) I haven't tried making squares with my strip cutter yet. I do like how you make the strip sets and then cut them, great idea! Anything to make the process quicker so that we can move on to the next project.
