There is this wonderful on-line candy store called Candy You Ate as a Kid. They specialize in hard to find candy from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s.
YD asked if I would order some Long Boys, they are like coconut caramels; so sure why not, but if I was going to place an order I might as well get some other things.
My husband loves licorice pipes so he got a few. I love the candy Valomilk, like peanut butter cups but with a whipped marshmallow cream. MMMM!!
All the kids love flying saucers, (to me they taste like Communion wafers,) but I got a box of 240!!!
They will be so excited. So, if you have a taste or a yearning for some candy, go take a peek, it is a lot of fun!
Happy Day!!

ReplyDeleteOh I had to leave a comment because we called them 'communion wafers' when we were growing up. LOL Thanks for the memories!
ReplyDeleteJane - thank you for mentioning our VALOMILK Candy Cups and posting pictures of them. "Candy You Ate as a Kid" is the Old Time Candy Co. in LaGrange, OH. They are one of our good customers and they are linked on our website www.VALOMILK.com. We also have other family owned and operated old time candy companies linked there who make wonderful candy bars.

I remember those candy saucers! And the liccorice pipes. There is nothing more sweet than nostalgic candy. I grew up with a candy store just down the street and they had penny candy and all sorts of great stuff I can never find anywhere. I gotta check out this place for childhood candy. You have the best links!
