Advice Please.....

WARNING PHOTO HEAVY!!

When Little T was first born, I decided to make him a wall hanging using vehicles. I asked everyone who they would suggest to make these embroider pictures for me. The answer was unanimous, Michele form CalicoDaisy. We chatted on the phone (such a lovely lady) and came up with some designs. As you will see, she did an amazing job!! It has taking me a year to think about how I wanted to use the embroiders. I decided on a simple border for each as to not take away from the work. Here they are in all their glory;

Now I ran across a problem, one of the blocks was too big and part of the wings would be cut off, so I then had to eliminate another block.

These have been on my design wall for months as I have no idea how to proceed!!
Here is where I am asking for you advice…….

Should I put them together like this?

Should I put the plane in the middle? If so what color border should I use?

Should I make it 4 X 3 and just have part of the wings cut off? What color border should I use?

Should I keep the two out and eliminate one more for a 3 X 3 layout?

Sashing, border?? Holy Moly, I am so overwhelmed, I just have no idea how to proceed! Any advice would be appreciated!
Thank you for bearing with me on this long post!!

Jelly Roll Sampler Quilt Along........

Once I found out who Moose on the Porch had invited to submit blocks for the quilt; How could I resist!!?? I did start a little late but was able to catch up quite easily. You can join at any time and if you click the button on my side-bar you will be whisked away in cyber space to all the details. First I picked the jelly roll I wanted to use; it is “favorites” by Me and My Sister. I really like to use white as a background fabric, but I had 4 yards!!! of this darling polka dot fabric that seemed to incorporate all the colors.
So off I went and I am totally caught up!!
Easy Peasy!!

Block #1

Block #2

Block #3

I cannot wait for more blocks, they are such fun to make and to look at the flickr group and see all the different fabrics that are being used is amazing!!
Come on, you know you want too!!
It is right here!!

Easter Parade (1948)

Staring; Fred Astaire and Judy Garland
Also, Peter Lawford, Ann Miller
Director: Charles Walters
Musical score: Irving Berlin

Fred Astaire (Don) is upset when he loses his dance partner, (Ann Miller) who decides to make it on her own. To prove he does not need her he vows to make an ordinary chorus girl into his next famous partner. That ordinary girl would be Judy Garland (Hannah). Throw in Irving Berlins score and you have a must see classic for every Easter to come!!

Jane’s vote 4 stars

My favorite part….
“The Girl on the Magazine Cover”

No need to rent this one, check you local listings as TCM will be showing this film on
Easter Sunday
Have a great weekend!!

Happy Easter
