I don't know whether mom grandmother did any kind of sewing or quilting, I know she had to help my grandpa at the family store. The Red and White store, a little store situated so the front door faced the corner. Remember how they used to do that. And there were steps up to the screen door. I know my mother didn't do any quilting or anything, she was sick for as long as I can remember. It's sad not to have anything from your family but they were honest people of integrity. During the depression my grandfather let people buy things on IOUS. He couldn't let them go hungry. Anyway, that's a long comment to say I love the old quilt.Traceyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04682641204566454521noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1252320607766646025.post-19386168025897803922008-09-04T17:03:00.000-05:002008-09-04T17:03:00.000-05:00It's so wonderful that you were able to get these ...It's so wonderful that you were able to get these important heirlooms for the sweet memories they create.Carriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17008155356923332277noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1252320607766646025.post-50593318297212469132008-09-04T15:32:00.000-05:002008-09-04T15:32:00.000-05:00What happy colored quilts-I love your Mom's embroi...What happy colored quilts-I love your Mom's embroidered quilt-you're very lucky.Mirihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01245963180065978054noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1252320607766646025.post-29668592108683110722008-09-04T15:22:00.000-05:002008-09-04T15:22:00.000-05:00What a great blog you have here!
