I'm back and I have a giveaway!!

Hi everyone!!
I hope your spring/fall is going well.
We are in full swing softball and I realized that if I waited for softball to be over to blog it would be August!!
So....
I missed you!

I have gotten a few things done since my last post and a few new things to show you...

But,
What you really want to know is what is the giveaway?

For those of you that have been following me for a while you know that I have macular degeneration. Just one eye!! I can still sew and quilt all the same things you can, they just may not be as straight!

I came across a new ruler that has saved me!!

Called

It is...

Non-Slip

Self-Aligning

Unbreakable

You can Mark Angle Lines

It is Connectible

I can rave about this ruler but you really need to see it to believe it.

Take a Peek

Well? What do you think?
Talk to me and you could win a 6 X 12 inch ruler!

Winner will be chosen Wednesday night.

P.S. Check this LINK for their contests and specials.

  2. Looks fabulous! I always have trouble cutting half square triangles neatly because my ruler shifts, maybe this will be the answer to my prayers?!?

  3. Jane, I did not know about your macular degeneration. I can hardly believe you do such wonderful work with your eye condition. My aunt was afflicted with it, too. It does make life even more of a challenge.

I have seen these rulers and thought the whole concept was marvelous. You know, if you have a ruler and it works then you don't seriously consider another. I'd love to have one, though. Thanks for sharing.

  4. It's nice that you are not waiting until August!!!!!

That MD is a real challenge and any tools that help are a welcomed gift. I have not heard of that ruler before, but it looks interesting.

No pictures of what you have been working on while you were gone?????

  5. Glad you popped in - had just been thinking of you. I miss the kids and ball season/little league, etc.. A sneak peek would have been fun - your projects, that is. I have seen this ruler, but never heard of it's use or seen it used. Sounds like a very useful tool to have.

  6. Don't know much about this ruler, but would love to win it.

My Grandmother, Aunt, and Mom had macula degeneration. Well Mom is happily still with us. So far I don't have it.

  7. It's awesome that the quilt ruler could be made even better! For such an essential tool, it still frustrates me when I struggle with a slipping ruler. And now other pluses as well...super! I need to check that out.

  8. I'm so glad you decided to post!!! I miss you!! I did not however know you had macular degeneration!! I am sooo sorry to know that. MY mother had it in both eyes but worse in her right eye. How long have you known and have they been able to stop the progression with laser surgery?
I would love to win that ruler.
    Blessings

  11. I'm so happy you have found the right tools to help you continue to quilt despite the macular degeneration.
I can't believe there is finally something out there for people who have arthritis. I'm such a slow cutter because I make tons of miscuts. My ruler tends to slid just enough to be noticeable when I start measuring my pieced work. These rulers look really helpful.

    Hugs - Lurline.
PS - that doesn't sound just right, I seem to have a lot less time these days, the family just seem to need me more and more!

    ReplyDelete
  49. I have never seen a ruler like this
It looks easy to use and if it is unbreakable, that would be amazing
I have many ruler pieces that I still use.

    ReplyDelete
  55. I had no idea about your eye! Praise God it's only in one eye! I don't have this ruler size, so it would be a welcome addition to my rulers. The non-slip feature would be great!

    ReplyDelete
  56. I don't think I will ever cut a straight line, lol.
I do have lots of rulers and a go cutter, but this looks interesting. One of my biggest problems I notice, when I cut with a regular ruler, is slipping, so my cuts end up crooked.
